We had a great Community Coffee on Sunday, October 27th at 3 Bees Coffee. We talked about how to get more San Mateans engaged in our community and the opportunities the City offered (e.g. volunteer groups, Boards and Commissions, City Services Academy, etc.). Everyone was interested in learning about CERT (Community Emergency Response Team), a program that trains you in basic disaster response skills so you can help your family and community in times of emergency.
Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of our group (mea culpa!), so please help me remember if you attend a future Community Coffee!
My Community Coffees are the fourth Sunday of every month, from 11am-1pm, at 3 Bees Coffee. All San Mateans are invited to share their concerns or great ideas about San Mateo!
