Celebrating San Mateans

Little League

City Council recently honored San Mateo’s very own American Little League 12U for

coming in 3 rd out of approximately 340 teams (!) in the NorCal State Tournament. This

team deserves our gratitude, as do their coaches and Jeff Gilbert, retiring President of

San Mateo Little League – American. We can’t wait to cheer on all our Little Leaguers

next season!

San Mateo United Annual Home Maintenance Awards

City Council also celebrated the recipients of San Mateo United’s Home Maintenance Awards. These are residents in neighborhoods across the city who were nominated by their neighbors for showcasing the unique beauty of San Mateo in how they take care of

their homes. There were 6 awards presented from across the City. District 1 was represented by Bob and Kathy Liberatore of Baywood. We look forward to everyone’s nominations next year! To learn more, contact San Mateo United at
