April Community Coffee

Small cell towers in San Mateo Park continued to be an issue raised at April’s Community Coffee. Since Council approved a new, stricter Small Cell Ordinance in November, there have been no new small cell tower applications received. Any appeals of future application decisions also will be held in front of an expert 3rd party hearing officer, instead of the Sustainability & Infrastructure Commission. You can read more about this effort at https://cityofsanmateo.org/3865/Small-Cell-Infrastructure.

Other constituent questions included the status of the Par 3 restaurant, Poplar Creek Golf Course and what additional services the City could provide while the restaurant building is being repaired. I have asked City staff to review the toilet cleaning schedule and consider where additional outdoor seating areas could be provided along the course.

Join Us at the June Community Coffee

I will not hold a Community Coffee at the end of May as I will be back East for my college reunion (!). But I will be back at 3 Bees, as usual, June 29 (the last Sunday of the month), 11am-12:30pm. Please stop by for coffee, snacks and a chance to share with me what’s on your mind about San Mateo. Thanks!
