Grammercy-Mounds Neighborhood
I was grateful to be invited to share our State of the City update recently with residents and neighbors of Top of the Mounds in the Grammercy-Mounds neighborhood. We had a lively discussion about the upcoming elections and Measure T. Several informed residents brought the actual ballot measure language with them as it specifically called out and grandfathered Top of the Mounds as being taller than the zoning for their area.
Residents also were very concerned about speeding along El Cerrito and what the City could do to help slow down the traffic before a serious accident occurred. This is exactly the type of issue our Complete Streets Plan is looking to address. In the meantime, we discussed how the neighbors could petition the City to implement a number of traffic calming methods.
