Upcoming City Council Items
City Council Study Sessions typically begin on Mondays at 5:30pm. Regular Meetings begin at 7pm. All meetings are held at City Hall, 330 W. 20th Avenue, and via zoom. The public is encouraged to attend and make public comment or ask questions about any agenda item or any issue not on the agenda. Community Events
January 25th Lunar New Year Celebration Following up on last year’s successful event, there will be Lion Dancers performing and posing for photos with the community on B Street (@ 1st Ave) between noon-1pm. Then the dancers will walk around Downtown and visit 10 businesses from 1-2pm. Community Updates
Draeger’s Update As many of you know, Draeger’s has decided to close its San Mateo branch by the end of February. This is a great disappointment to City Council, City staff and our entire community. There were approved plans to redevelop the building that would call for Draeger’s to vacate in 1+ years and return when the construction of a new building was complete. The Draeger’s Board, however, judged the economics of the business such that they should shut down and not come
